One type of fat you may have come across in your Type 2 diabetic meal plan you really need to know about is trans fat. Perhaps you’ve read a nutrition label and saw this fat type printed under the main fat heading or you’ve been reading some health and fitness magazine and noted it was mentioned.
So what are trans fats and what do you need to know about them? One study actually found a diet high in trans fat increased the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes by 31 percent.
